MORGAN HILL — October 26, 2026. A major water-system infrastructure project is advancing along East Dunne Avenue, where the city is building an 850,000-gallon hillside reservoir. Morgan Hill’s official weekly project update says the steel tank, access driveway and two retaining walls have been constructed.

What work remains?

Crews are working on landscaping, irrigation, reservoir accessories, disinfection, storm drainage, paving, electrical systems and modifications to the booster station. The city says the project began in November 2024 and is still scheduled to finish by the end of 2026. That is a construction target, not confirmation the tank is already serving residents.

The access road has limited room for construction equipment, so drivers should watch for vehicles and temporary roadside restrictions. Project funding was provided in whole or part through California’s 2021 Budget Act and an agreement with the Department of Water Resources.
