MORGAN HILL — November 4, 2026. Two Morgan Hill City Council districts elected representatives on the November 3 ballot. The late-night county results show Steven Hayes leading District B with 1,486 votes (64.0%), compared with 834 for Yvonne Martinez Beltran (35.9%).

District D has another contest

In the separate District D election, Dolores Alvarado has 1,469 votes (58.5%) against 1,038 for Marilyn Librers (41.4%). These candidates do not compete against Hayes and Beltran; each election serves a particular geographic district and one seat on the council.

The mayoral election is citywide

Morgan Hill also held a mayoral race. Mark Turner has 4,703 votes, Deborah M. Africa has 3,495, and Kristopher L. Clayton has 1,042 in the cited snapshot. California58 has already reported on the mayoral count, so this update focuses on the two council seats and provides the mayor numbers for context rather than republishing the same mayoral story.

The official tally is still being processed. Ballots remaining in the county canvass may alter totals and margins, so the names above should be described as preliminary leaders, not certified winners.
